About

Welcome to my blog.

Holybrook is what I prefer to use as a “performance name” so as not to confuse what I do in my alter-ego as a (semi) respectable leadership consultant.

This is where I indulge my fantasy of being a performing singer/songwriter and all round 60-something teenager (sixtynager?).

On here, you will find some of my thinking around music, writing and performing – especially what I would, rather pompously describe as ‘socially conscious’ music. The stuff that helps us to think about our own reactions to personal, political and social situations. Woody Guthrie once said that the job of a songwriter is to make the comfortable feel uncomfortable and to comfort the uncomfortable. I hope to emulate that.

I hope you find this fun, entertaining or whatever. Let me know what you think – I’m always up for feedback. Whatever – thanks for being here

All the best
